Wesley M. Fujimoto
Counsel

Wesley M. Fujimoto joined the firm as counsel in July 2012. Prior to joining Ashford & Wriston, Mr. Fujimoto was a founding principal of another law firm in Honolulu.

Mr. Fujimoto specializes in labor and employment law. He represents local and mainland employers before courts and agencies, both federal and state, in all areas of workplace related legal matters. These include employment discrimination and harassment, whistleblowing, retaliation, union organizing, labor arbitration and collective bargaining, workers’ compensation, workplace related state and federal court litigation, occupational safety and health, wage and hour and unemployment insurance.

Mr. Fujimoto’s practice consists of litigation defense, counseling and compliance advice and supervisor and management training. He has lectured and written extensively on current workplace legal issues and prevention methods on topics ranging from workplace accommodation, wage and hour and employment discrimination.

Professional Activities:

Mr. Fujimoto is a member of the Hawai`i State Bar Association and the District of Columbia Bar Association.

Prior to entering private practice, he was an Attorney-Advisor with the U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Administrative Law Judges, in the Washington, D.C. and San Francisco offices.
